Terms of Service

Last updated: February 1, 2026

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using JumpTerm ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not use the Service. These Terms apply to all users, including free and paid subscribers.

2. Description of Service

JumpTerm provides SSH client software with end-to-end encrypted synchronization of connection profiles, credentials, and related data across multiple devices. The Service includes desktop applications, mobile applications, and cloud sync infrastructure.

3. User Accounts

You must provide a valid email address to create an account. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials and vault passphrase. JumpTerm cannot recover your vault passphrase due to our zero-knowledge architecture. If you lose your passphrase and have no authorized devices remaining, your encrypted data cannot be recovered.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the Service to: (a) violate any applicable laws or regulations; (b) infringe on the rights of others; (c) transmit malware or malicious code; (d) attempt to gain unauthorized access to JumpTerm systems or other users' data; (e) interfere with the proper functioning of the Service.

5. Subscription and Billing

Paid plans are billed monthly or annually in advance. You may cancel at any time, and your subscription will remain active until the end of the current billing period. We do not offer refunds for partial billing periods. Prices are subject to change with 30 days' notice.

6. Data and Encryption

Your vault data is encrypted on your device before transmission to our servers. We do not have access to your encryption keys or plaintext data. You are solely responsible for maintaining access to your vault passphrase and authorized devices. We store encrypted blobs on your behalf and provide sync infrastructure, but we cannot access, modify, or recover your encrypted content.

7. Intellectual Property

JumpTerm and its associated logos, designs, and content are the intellectual property of JumpTerm Inc. You retain ownership of all data you store in your vault. We claim no rights to your encrypted content.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free. You use the Service at your own risk.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, JumpTerm Inc. shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your use of the Service. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

10. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms. You may delete your account at any time through the application settings. Upon deletion, your encrypted vault data will be permanently removed from our servers within 30 days.

11. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via email or an in-app notification at least 30 days before the changes take effect. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
